Start Stop Vehicles - After Jump Start
If your vehicle has ‘ start - stop ‘ technology it will be necessary to disable that feature after being jump started.
The reason is, when the car stops then the engine will stop ~ and with a weak battery it may not start again.
You will have to search Google, YouTube or your owners manual for instructions how to disable Start-Stop for your specific car ~ Note it is only disabled that one time; you have to re-disable it each time you start the car.
Ideally, once the car has been started and the Start-Stop feature disabled, you should drive directly to Auto Zone or O’Reilly’s . . . they can retest the battery ~ if bad they will sell you a replacement and ( on most cars ) install it for you.
